about me
After returning home from more than a decade away, I am excited to start creating meaningful hair relationships in the Shenandoah Valley. I began my hairdressing career in 2013 after a 6-year stint as a combat medic in the US Army. After shifting to prehospital care and nursing as a civilian, I realized I needed more creative freedom and autonomy in a career.
Working behind the chair for me, perfectly marries compassion and creativity. My attention to detail and discipline help me focus on precision haircutting of all textures and types. I am constantly educating and pushing myself outside my comfort zone, which is the only place where growth happens. I like to approach hair like emergency medicine; By understanding how your hair is supposed to behave, it's easier to target and address misbehavior. I believe you should love your hair every day, not only after you've just left the salon.
When I'm not behind the chair, I’m woodworking, spending time outdoors (kayaking, fishing, backpacking, dirt biking, skating/snowboarding) or training with my bird dog, Fynn.
What I do
I provide hair services to humans. the time it takes is largely dependent on hair length and goals. the menu is androgynous and customizable, as unique as you.
While a haircut can be commodified, not everyone needs my services. If you value your hair and want a partner in keeping you looking your very best everyday, inquire within.

All haircut services include a thorough consultation, relaxing Shampoo & an express blow-dry.
my goal is to equip you with the knowledge to maintain your style with confidence between visits.
My approach is education forward. we will talk hair, product/styling and goals at every service. i will expect feedback on what’s working, as well as what’s not. We’re on the same team, let’s make magic.
Clipper

Clipper does most/all of the work.
Skin to 1/2". This includes fades, undercuts, crew cuts.
Short
Haircut

Most/all hair is cut in-hand.
1/2" to 4". Usually long enough to not see scalp thru sides. This includes pixies.
Medium
Haircut
$55/60min
Hair length between chin/collar and shoulder. Includes smooth blow out for dry refinement.
Long

Hair length below the clavicle. Includes smooth blow out for dry refinement.
12 & under
Haircut
$35/45min
Same quality as the adult version, only now chasing a moving target. It’s a whole different skillset and I enjoy teaching kids how to manage their hair at home.

A standalone Shampoo/Blow dry service for headshots, special event or just 'cause you wanna feel good. Includes iron work or wave set to get you red carpet ready!

My Suite is number three, located upstairs at Omar’s Barber Shop in Harrisonburg. Enter through the main doors and up the spiral stairs to the right.

In lieu of a receptionist, I use Vagaro- easy to use online scheduling that allows YOU to be in control of YOUR scheduled services. I recommend downloading the Vagaro app for full functionality.
